CHARACTER NAME: Bumblebee

STRENGTHS: Friendly- Bee is genuinely a nice person, and genuinely like people in general. He's quick to make friends, provided you aren't pure irredeemable evil, and if you make friends with him you have a friend for life. Again, provided you don't turn to pure irredeemable evil. He's gregarious and kind, and will absolutely fight someone behind a Denny's if they hurt a friend of his.
Clever- Bright and quick-witted, Bee isn't exactly a genius prodigy who will change the world but he's still pretty damned smart and capable of thinking on his feet. The AU version of him helped design his Rune Armor. And the canon version of him blew up a Decepticon while said 'Con had him by the throat by stealing Blitzwing's missile from his arm compartment.
Courageous- Brave to a fault (See flaws), Bee sees it as his duty to help protect his friends and the world, and he's the first to volunteer when someone needs to throw themselves in harm's way.
FLAWS:
Fight-or-Flight set firmly on Fight- As a counter part to his courage, even in what is clearly a losing battle, Bee will choose fighting over running and living to fight another day. He can be convinced to do otherwise by cooler heads, or if he's trying to protect someone who can't fight, but by himself he will choose fight over flight every single time.
Prone to seeking revenge- Usually through childish pranks, like egging someone's car or TPing their house. If someone he cares about gets hurt,though, he will absolutely hurt the person or people who did it right back. Despite this, he isn't prone to escalation.
Risk-taking- Probably the trait that's the cause of the other two, he's not the most risk-averse being on the planet. He's not known for obeying the speed limits, and makes a habit of mocking people who cn definitely kicks his aft
CANON ABILITIES: Bumblebee is a giant robot that measures somewhere between 10 and 20 feet tall. He can scan vehicles and transform into them, provided that they are ground-based. He also has blades in his forearms, and can transform at least one arm into a cannon.

AU CHARACTER NAME: Daniel "Bumblebee" Kafer
AGE: 18
GRADE: Undergrad
AU BACKSTORY: To understand some of Bee's history, it's necessary to go all the way back to the late 19th century. 13 armor pilots from the United States, seeing the potential in steam-powered vehicles, came together as a group and developed armor that could transform into these vehicles. The thirteen fought many threats over the years, none more threatening that an army of lycanthropes. Unable to destroy them all, the thirteen locked them away in a dead space of the Outlands, leaving a key on Earth. As time went on, the thirteen's guild grew, eventually developing into what is now known as the Autobots. Bee, through his great-grandparents, grew up around the Autobots, eventually swearing to join the organization when he was old enough. He went to Daybreak academy, studied runes, help design his armor, and when he turned sixteen received the armor he'd helped design.
Meanwhile, not all of the lycanthrope army had been locked away. A few had escaped, and their descendants formed several groups scattered throughout the country, dedicated to returning to their glory days. Two of these lycanthropes eventually discovered and took the key, intending to release their brethren. Bee, shortly after receiving the Volkswagen armor encountered them alone. The initial confrontation left him without a way of quickly contacting the other Autobots, and so he resolved to take them both down on his own. He ended up befriending someone and, while he managed to kill the pair, the friend retrieved the key just moments before the army could be freed.
Although he wasn't originally intending to return to Daybreak for college education, preferring to stay with the Autobots, the imminence of Nightfall led to him being assigned there as their representation. It was heavily suggested that he take college-level courses while there. While preparing to return, he befriended Tyzias. She helped him make upgrades to his armor until she was hunted down by mages from the Condescension. While she immediately ran for it without warning him, he chose to hold them off in order to give her more time to escape one he worked out what was going on. Eventually other Autobots arrived to back him up, and the mages left.
AU PERSONALITY DEVIATION: There are very few differences in personality between canon Bee and AU Bee. The most obvious is that he isn't mute, and thus most of the quirks that developed from that don't exist, or exist for other reasons. His tendency to drop pop culture references is less due to necessity and more just a general thing that he does just because. He speaks fluent English and French, and is conversational in Japanese (Let's say Drift is around as explanation for the latter.)

SECRET SOCIETY: In the late 19th century, 13 Rune Guard armor pilots came together and developed rune armor that could transform into steam-powered vehicles. The guild they formed eventually developed into the Autobots. Led by the Prime and based in the United States, the Autobots believe that freedom is the right of all sentient beings, and tend to violently disagree with anybody who believes otherwise. Neither the oldest, most influential, or most powerful of Guilds, they're still fairly well known. If only for the oddity that is their transforming armor.
Bee grew up around them, and his current rank, Minor, is roughly equivalent to that of an Army lieutenant
POWERS: Normal human with rune armor. The rune armor is a giant robot that transforms into a Volkswagen Beetle. It has blades in its forearms, and can transform one of its arms into a cannon.
